Personal History
On page 3 of Mary Cadwell’s Obituary I found reference to her son, John M. Cadwell of Redlands, CA. John’s Burial Notice says he died in Redlands, CA.
The Redlands History Society article says John was born on December 15, 1866 in Utica, Illinois where the Cadwells lived, that he was married to Caroline Hartzell in 1887, and he died and is buried in Redlands CA, all of which is consistent with the information in John’s Find a Grave Burial Notice. The article said John died suddenly of a heart ailment in his California home.
John’s obituary of January 3, 1932 states he was Sunday School Superintendent and Trustee, and the Baptist 100 Year History Book said that he was a Moderator from 1926 to 1929.
I could not find any other direct reference tying John Milton Cadwell to his father George C. Cadwell except John’s inclusion in a family portrait.
