Note (1) – One year, William and Sharon Waggoner attended a quilt show in Des Moines. On the way home, Sharon called John Waas to see if we could meet up with him in Kansas City. John invited us to meet him at his home and offered to let us stay overnight with him at his house. He was a pleasant man, and we enjoyed our visit. It wasn’t long afterwards that John sold his home and moved to Rochester, New York, to live with his brother Roy.

Note (2) – In 2007, Sharon Waggoner and sister-in-law Catherine Sutton took a trip to New York to see Sharon’s newborn grandson Jack Brian Waggoner. They stopped along the way at Roy’s house in Hamburg, New York, hoping to meet up with him and his brother John. Unfortunately, both were out of town at the time and they never got to meet each other.
